    • Simon Gerovich
      Chairman

      <p>Simon is Red Planet's Chairman and previously founded Evolution Capital PLC, listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. He has spent his entire professional career in Asia and is a fluent Chinese and Japanese speaker. Simon was formerly an Equity Derivatives Trader at Goldman Sachs in Tokyo from 2000 to 2005 and graduated cum laude with a BA in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University in 2000.</p>

    • Timothy Hansing
      Chief Executive Officer

      <p>Prior to joining Red Planet, Tim was Senior Vice President Acquisitions of Kingdom Hotel Investments from 2002-2009. From 1999-2002, Tim was Senior Vice President Corporate Development of Movenpick Hotels &amp; Resorts. From 1996-1999, he was Service Group Director Real Estate &amp; Hospitality, Middle East &amp; Africa, of Arthur Andersen. From 1993-1996, he was a Senior Consultant at Pannell Kerr Forster Associates in London. From 1989-1993, Tim held various operational roles at the Whitbread Hotel Group, Thistle Hotels, Canadian Pacific, and Forte.</p>

    • Yoshi Ikurumi
      Group Chief Financial Officer

      <p>A native of Kyoto, Japan, Yoshi has built his international career in the United States and Japan. He started his career as a marketing specialist for Bank One (now JP Morgan Chase) and has since blended his marketing skills with his financial savvy to develop as an experienced CFO. Prior to joining Red Planet Hotels, Yoshi worked at Morgan Stanley, GE Capital, and Hewlett Packard. Further, he holds an MBA degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.</p>

    • Hirofumi Kambayashi
      Senior Vice President – Acquisitions

      <p>Kambayashi is Red Planet’s Senior Vice President of Acquisitions. Prior to joining Red Planet, he successfully held management-level posts at the following Japanese subsidiaries: Singapore-based Uni-Asia Group, Australian Galileo Group, Australian Challenger Group, where he devoted himself to the real estate fund business. Further, he has extensive consulting experience on hotel investments from Jones Lang LaSalle’s Tokyo office. Kambayashi started his career at the Miyako (currently known as Westin Miyako Kyoto), a flagship hotel of the Kintetsu Railway Group. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Doshisha University and another bachelor’s degree in hospitality business from Michigan State University. </p>

    • David Rubenstein
      Group Investor Relations Director

      <p>David, IR Director of the Red Planet Group, brings over 19 years of experience in Japanese equity research featuring small cap firms and technology sectors. Prior to Red Planet, he was Equity Research Director for Shared Research, a Japanese IR specialist firm. David has also worked as an equity research analyst at five investment banks, namely Jefferies, WI Carr (Credit Agricole), Japaninvest (Haitong), MF Global, and Religare. At Jefferies, he was recognised as a top stock picker by the Nikkei. David holds a BA in Economics from Binghamton University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Oregon. He is also a fluent Japanese speaker.</p>

    • Naotaka (Charles) Koyama
      Director of Legal

      <p>Charles is Red Planet Legal Director for Japan and is an Australian qualified lawyer (Solicitor) and a licensed Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi in Japan.</p> <p>Charles has an extensive experience both in private practice and in-house. He worked as a solicitor and partner with major law firms in Australia for more than 20 years before returning to Japan. He then occupied the head legal positions at various global organizations’ Japan offices in such areas as telecommunication, retail, pharmaceutical and information technologies, as well as holding the Board and other senior executive positions at the same time with the companies.</p> <p>Charles has bachelor’s law degrees from Sophia University and Monash University and a Master of Law (LL.M.) degree from Monash University. <br /></p>

    • Jitai Jeon
      Project Director

      <p>Jitai is responsible for leading the strategic management of our hotel development and construction in Japan and North Asia. Jitai has more than 10 years’ experience in planning, design, and construction administration and a background in property development, construction, and project management. Prior to joining Red Planet Japan, Jitai was an Asia Pacific project manager with the Regus Group.</p>

    • Mika Umemura
      Director of Operations - Japan

      <p>Mika has a successful track record in various senior operational management positions with local and international hotel operators including Accor, Regent, Shangri-La, Far East Hospitality, and Solare Hotels &amp; Resorts in Japan, China, and Singapore. Fluent in Japanese, Chinese, and English, Mika graduated with a master’s degree in finance and holds a diploma in hotel management. Prior to joining Red Planet Japan, Mika was the Area General Manager of Far East Hospitality Management in Singapore. </p>

    • Poonnapha Tritanachart
      Director of Operations - Thailand

      <p>Poonnapha started with Red Planet in 2014, as Hotel Manager for Asoke where she ran the operations of our first hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. Further, she was involved in the pre-opening of Red Planet Bangkok Surawong. Prior to joining Red Planet, Poonnapha obtained over 10 years of experience as Operations Manager in leading a hospitality company in Thailand. She is also a holder of a Hospitality Management degree from Dusit Thani College.</p>

    • Sahlee Zaldivia
      Country Head - Philippines

      <p>Prior to joining the hotel industry with Red Planet Hotels, Sahlee had a successful career in the field of human resources, recruitment, and training, including managing large workforces in the security industry. Sahlee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Mass Communications from St. Scholastica's College, Manila.</p>
